Australian Wood Ducks tend to be monogamous and on breeding have fairly large clutches variously stated in publications as from 8 to 10 and from 9 to 11.

In this instance here however there were 12 chicks.

OK if you counted them you probably think my mathematical ability leaves a bit to be desired but there was one other chick swimming slightly ahead of the rest and I cropped it out to bring the rest closer in the picture. The adult male was even further in front leading the procession.
